SFI Access

SFI Access is a Street Food Institute program that partners with Southwest Educational Partners for Training (SWEPT). The program addresses identified training gaps and provides needed skills to the SWEPT population, so that they are prepared to enter the SFI CNM program or can begin exploring the possibilities of owning their own small business.

SFI Access is currently offering SWEPT students a 9-week culinary course that focuses on basic culinary skills, safety and sanitation, a variety of cooking methods, knife skills, identification and proper use of equipment, production of various foods including soups, stocks and sauces. The class will also cover teamwork, time management and professional culinary development. The course will prepare students for the SFI Food truck internship.
